Soccer Asylum

Helping soccer losers to cure their disease.

Our Mission

S
occer fans and participants need help. I am convinced that to get help, one must first be willing to help one's self. Here are some suggestions to help correct the causes why someone may be a soccer fan or participant.

Addressing Physical Weakness & Average Athleticism

Addressing physical weakness can be corrected by a systematic exercise regimen, complete with diet. This will not be easy to accomplish, but then nothing worth acquiring is ever an easy task. Huskerpower.com is an excellent site outlining the necessary steps to becoming a powerful human specimen. Following this program should eliminate the causal element of being physically weak or being athletically average in becoming a soccer fan or participant.

As an aside, the All-Time Performance Records are extremely useful in confirming several obvious points: i) that soccer participants, indeed, do possess physical weakness; and, ii) that soccer is indeed an activity for girls.

Addressing Violent Tendencies

You cannot simply address violent tendencies in soccer fans or participants. You have to take away the impetus for violence, i.e., the soccer. Here is an example of what happens when you try to address the violence without addressing the root cause - the soccer.

Noviolence.com is a wonderful site that has thoroughly documented the overwhelming violence associated with soccer, but they evade the obvious evidence that soccer leads to violence.

So we cannot directly address the violent tendencies of the soccer fan / participant prior to the fan / participant unless the soccer fan / participant gives up soccer. In this way, soccer is analogous to a crack addiction. Like crack addicts, the soccer fan / participant is also a danger to our community.

We can teach self-defense, however. Teach yourself how to use a firearm here . In less civilized countries where citizens are not responsible enough to bear firearms, you may learn how to defend yourself here.

Addressing Collectivism

Ayn Rand has systematically destroyed the intellectual foundation of collectivism, and has offered the alternative vision of individualism in her philosophy of objectivism.

Fortunately, replacing a collectivist culture with an individualistic one has many side benefits. One side effect is that wealth increases. ludwig von mises outlines why this happens in Human Action, which you can read online (presuming that you've addressed the dimwittedness as per below).

Addressing Dimwittedness

Education is an important factor in ensuring soccer's failure.
Maria Montessori is a wonderful educator, who can help educate even the problem student who eschews learning for soccer.

Addressing Poverty

There are a number of good sources that address how one should build wealth. We have already addressed how a culture can increase its wealth by addressing individualism. Our concern in this section is how an individual can build wealth.

The Dallas Fed has a wonderful section on how the basics of learning how to budget, save and take control of your debt.

Stern Stewart is a consulting firm that specializes in the understanding and application of EVA. While a lot of their expertise is utilized in helping corporate clients re-focus their efforts, EVA can be very useful for the individual investor in judging companies. This in turn can help the soccer fan / participant create wealth, releasing herself from the shackles of poverty.

Addressing Psychological Problems

As is clearly evident, a great proportion of soccer fans / participants suffer from psychosis. They are clearly deluded into thinking that the monotony they are watching is exciting. People make mistakes, but to live one's life without correcting an error suggests mental illness. While the treatment of psychosis can be difficult, The Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society has published a
report of recent advances.

A Successful Case Study

Our suggestions have had a minimal effect to date, but that is due to the lack of subjects. we have cured 90% of subjects who have sought our advice on how to cure the soccer affliction. Here is an example of such a success:

BEFORE AFTER
Before
After

Subject suffers from poor mental and physical condition. Subject has questionable sex. Subject is an avid fan of soccer.

Subject has re-emerged from treatment as a confident adult in perfect mental and physical condition. Subject hates soccer.
